Book Cover: Bookman Old Style

I really like this design. I think i will save this as the final. It took me the entire class to figure it ou but i am happy with the result. It is super boring but exactly what i wanted/ needed. Now that i figured out this design, the inside will be no problem.

I am going for the 1850s newsprint style. These are all very boring, so i am going to work on a twist for them.

Bookman Old Style

Bookman was created in 1858 in Scotland. It was created for newsprint use. Considering not much was going on in Scotland at this time, i decided to look further in the world for history. In America in 1858 the Lincoln-Douglas debates were taking place from August to October. These series if debates were very well known and were made public by the use of Newspaper, which is how i am connecting Bookman to these events. I will be using the grids like the newspapers in 1858, they were very cluttered and used lines for separation.

These are my final two! I stuck with the simplicity and made them both easy to read. I am confident with both of these designs
